How to Assemble A Computer?

 These days almost every home is provided with desktop computers or laptops. To that extent the computer has become unavoidable part of most people’s lives. If you know how to assemble a computer, that would be greatly helpful to you in many ways. Here’s a step by step guide on how to assemble computers ourselves.

Desktop Computer

First, you need to prepare the screw driver, torch light etc. required to assemble the computer parts. It is a good idea to start  assembling the computer by choosing the right height desk for what we are working on.

Required Computer Accessories

The following computer parts including CPU box, motherboard, CPU, CPU Cooling fan, Connectors for power supply, Memory RAM, Graphics Cards, Storage drive, Optical drive, Case fan, front panel connectors etc will be required to assemble a computer. Apart from these the mouse, monitor, keyboard, speakers etc. should be connected externally.

Security Arrangements

It is better to have someone with prior experience when starting an assembly of a computer. It is important to read the user manual provided on each part and know where to link them properly. The static electricity in our body is likely to affect the computer parts, so we should discharge it by touching the box or by some otherwise. We also need to be careful so that we will not be injured by some sharp parts used in the assembly work. Above all it is good to use wooden table for such work.

How To Assemble A Computer?

Opening The CPU Box

First, open the CPU box, which is also called computer case by gently removing the black screw nails attached to the box and open it sideways.

Installing The motherboard

Take the motherboard and place it on the two stand-off screw points which set inside the computer box and fasten it with the help of other two screw nails.

Fitting The CPU Processor

Now on the motherboard gently open the socket to place the CPU processor in it. Before placing it, make it sure that it is set in correct position by checking out its all the sides. Then carefully close the socket lever.

Fitting The Hard disk Cooling Fan

CPU cooling fan must be fitted inside. Now connect the power cable of CPU cooling fan to the motherboard connector.

Connecting connectors for power supply

Insert the connectors for the power supply into the computer box. Connect the large cable connector for the power supply to the motherboard power connector. Similarly, try to connect the power cable connector with 8 pins to the CPU power connector.

Mounting Memory RAM and graphicscards

Next carefully insert the required memory RAM into their respective slot. Fit the Graphics cards under the motherboard. Then connect the power connector cable to the graphics card power connector.

Installing The Storage Drive

Then install the storage drive (hard disk) in its place with the screw nails. Now connect the drive with motherboard. SATA cable.

Installing the Optical Drive

Now,Install the optical drive on the front side with the screw nails in appropriate place. Connect optical drive with motherboard by using SATA cable and also connect the power cable connector to the optical drive.

Installing The Case Fan and Front Panel Connectors

Install the case fan in its proper place with the help of a screw. Connect the case fan power connector to the motherboard header. You need to connect the audio connectors on the front to the motherboard audio header. And also connect the front USB connectors with the motherboard U. S. B., headers.

Completion of Assembly

Now carefully close the case box by using screws. Connect the mouse, monitor, keyboard, speakers, etc. to complete the computer assembly.
