What is Dandruff? And Natural Ways to get rid of it

Dandruff is the condition of fall of dead skin cells from scalp usually accompanied with the itching. Bacteria and fungi are mainly causing dandruff. There are many reasons to get this health problem. Lack of micro-nutrients, stress, frequent eating of sweets and oily foods, over eating can be some reasons for dandruff.

Though it seems a chronic health problem, it can be easily cured by using various home remedies, allopathic and homeopathic medicines. However it will be always safe to use natural things rather than synthetic chemicals. let us see some natural remedies to get rid of dandruff.

 Coconut oil and Lemon Juice
Mixture of coconut oil and lemon juice is the effective medicine to control dandruff. Both these things will prevent growth of bacteria and fungi on the skin surface of scalp. Just apply them on the affected parts and soak it for at least  15 minutes before taking bath.

Neem Leaves
Neem leaves are the natural medicines for curing dandruff. Prepare a decoction of Neem leaves and rinse well on your head which can kill germs that cause dandruff.

Olive Oil
It's the best known and effective medicine to cure dandruff. Oleic acid and Linoleic acid found in it will be responsible for killing dandruff causing germs. A warm olive olive oil will show better result than cold one.

Baking Soda
It is commonly found chemical found in the kitchen of every house and can be effective means to cure this problem. It is an effective exfoliant that can remove dead cells from scalp and help reduce itching by keeping moisture on the skin surface of scalp. It also naturally maintain the PH levels on the scalp and arrest the growth of germs.

Apple cider Vinegar
It is another widely used thing to come out of dandruff problem. Mixture of bowlful of water and  2 tsp of apple cider vinegar can cure dandruff. It has great tendency to maintain PH levels on the skin surface and avoid growth of germs causing dandruff.

How can we naturally avoid dandruff?
Avoid indigestion by overeating. Excessive eating of spicy food items may induce the growth of germs. Frequent eating of sweets, snacks and chocolate is the bad habit that provokes dandruff problem. Apart from these things, psychological condition is an important reason for causing dandruff. Avoid unnecessary worries and stress are also important reasons for getting dandruff.
